The Client
Garima Arya is a phenomenal Kathak Dancer & founder of Kalakulam Academy. The Academy hosts Aavartan, their Annual Festival for Music & Dance. It was a joy to work with her for the second time and design their promotion materials.

The Deliverables
The festival this year was themed around Lord Krishna. The background graphic is inspired by a traditional Indian fabric block printing technique. The color is inspired by Lord Krishna's skin known to be depicted as blue. And the main Krishna font is a font inspired by the Devanagari script which a lot of Indian languages are written. The main peacock feather graphic also comes from Krishna being shown wearing a peacock feather in his hair. The feathers graphic was also one of my first explorations into incorporating AI into my designs - it was a vector generated through fine tuning on the Recraft.ai platform
